Chili Con Queso Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Onion - chopped (medium) |
1 | Garlic - , pressed | |
1 | Chopped green chiles | |
1 | Evaporated milk | |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | American cheese - cut in 3/4" cubes |
1 | Ro-Tel tomato and green chiles - , cut up | |
Tabasco sauce - to taste | ||
Salt - to taste |
Melt butter in top of double boiler or in bowl in microwave oven.
Add onion and garlic. Cook until limp; then add remaining ingredients.
Cook until thick. Serve with tortilla chips.
Serve in chafing dish to keep hot.
