Chile Con Queso - 4 Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Cheese - shredded* |
4 oz | 113g | Green chiles** |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Half and half |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Onion - finely chopped |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cumin - ground |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
* Use either Cheddar or Monterey Jack Cheese (4 oz)
** Use 1 4-oz can of chopped green chiles, drained.
Heat all ingredients over low heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese is melted. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
Makes 1 1/4 cups dip.
