Chile Con Queso - 1 Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Cheddar cheese - or Monterey jack cheese, shredded (4 ounces) |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Half-and-half |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Onion - finely chopped |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Ground cumin |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 | Chopped green chiles - drained | |
Tortilla chips - if desired |
Place all ingredients except tortilla chips in 1-quart saucepan.
Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips.
Makes 1 1/4 cups dip.
