Cheesy Onion Bites Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Saltine crackers - (about 26), crushed |

1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Onion - chopped |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Swiss cheese - shredded |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Sour cream |
2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Eggs - beaten (large) |
Freshly ground black pepper - to taste | ||
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Cheddar cheese - shredded |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Butter - melted |
Combine cracker crumbs and butter. Press into an 8 inch square baking dish.
Cook bacon crisp, drain and crumble. Combine bacon, onion, Swiss cheese, sour cream, eggs and pepper.
Pour into the saltine-butter crust.
Bake at 375F for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and top with cheddar cheese; bake an additional 3 minutes.
Let stand 10 minutes before cutting into 2 inch squares.
Serve hot with toothpicks.
