Cheesy Bacon Onion Appetizer Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Crushed saltine crackers |
6 | Bacon - cooked and crumbled | |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Chopped onion |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Grated Swiss cheese |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Sour cream |
2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Eggs - , well beaten (large) |
Freshly ground pepper - to taste | ||
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Grated cheddar cheese |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Butter or margarine - melted |
Combine cracker crumbs and melted butter and press into an 8-inch square baking dish.
Combine the bacon, onion, Swiss cheese, sour cream and pepper; pour into the prepared crust.
Bake at 375F for 30 minutes.
Top with cheddar cheese and bake another 3 minutes. Let stand about 10 minutes before cutting into 2-inch squares.
Serve hot with toothpicks. Even at room temperature, they are still good.
