1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Sharp cheddar cheese - shredded |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
1 cup | 237ml | Beer |
1 | Egg - beaten | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dry mustard |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Paprika |
Melt butter in top of double boiler and add cheese. Place over hot water and stir until cheese begins to melt. Add beer gradually, stirring constantly until cheese is melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in egg, mustard, and paprika. Serve at once.
