1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Cheddar cheese - (grated) |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Soft butter |
1 | Egg | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Water |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | All-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Sugar |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Paprika |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Onions - (finely chopped) |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Parsley - (chopped) or flakes |
Beat cheese and butter. Add egg and water. Blend.
Combine flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and paprika. Add flour mixture, onions and parsley to the cheese mixture. Blend.
Drop onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
May be frozen and thawed.
Reheat at 375F for 5 minutes.
Makes 8 dozen.
