Candied Pecans Or Walnuts Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 474ml | Nuts |
2 1/2 cups | 592ml | Boiling water |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
1 cup | 237ml | Oil |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
In a 2-quart saucepan, boil nuts in water for 1 minutes and drain.
Toss nuts in sugar evenly, spread them on a 12-inch plate and let dry for 30 minutes. Fry nuts in medium-hot oil (about 250F) for 5 minutes.
Spread the nuts on a paper towel. Sprinkle salt all over the nuts and serve.
