Candied Pecans Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Egg white | |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Firmly packed dark brown sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla extract |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Pecan halves - about 1 pound |
Preheat the oven to 225F. Grease a baking sheet.
Beat the egg white until stiff in a medium-size bowl. Fold in the brown sugar and vanilla then gently fold in the pecans. Drop the pecans in small mounds (1-2 halves in each) onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 45 minutes. Cool on a wire rack and store in an airtight container.
