Sesame Broccoli Stir-Fry Recipe - Cooking Index
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cornstarch |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Soy sauce |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Heinz chili sauce |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Oriental sesame oil |
4 cups | 584g / 20oz | Broccoli flowerets |
1 cup | 237ml | Red bell pepper - cut into strips (small) |
(about 1/2 cup pepper strips) | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
1 cup | 237ml | Quartered small fresh mushrooms |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Onion - cut into thin (small) wedges |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Toasted sesame seeds |
In small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in soy sauce; stir in chili sauce and sesame oil and set aside. In large skillet or wok, stir-fry broccoli and red pepper 1 minute. Add mushrooms and onions; stir-fry 1 minute. Stir in chili sauce mixture; heat, stirring, until sauce is thickened and vegetables are coated. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving. This recipe serves 4.
