Pacific Rim Green Beans Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Green beans - cut in half |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Oil or margarine |
1 | Garlic clove - finely chopped | |
1 | Red onion - finely chopped (small) | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Red bell pepper - chopped |
1 | Serrano chile seeded and minced | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Fresh ginger - grated |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Chicken broth |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Soy sauce |
In a medium saucepan, heat oil or margarine. Add garlic, onion, red pepper, chile and ginger; saute until softened. Add string beans, tossing until coated. Stir in chicken broth and soy sauce. Cover and cook on moderate heat just until beans are tender-crisp.
