Orange Harvard Beets Recipe - Cooking Index
14 oz | 397g | Beets |
Zest and juice of 1/2 orange | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cornstarch |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | To 3 tb equal - sugar |
Drain liquid from beets into saucepan. Stir in orange zest. Bring to a boil. Simmer until reduced to 1/3 cup. Whisk cornstarch into orange juice and stir into beet juice; cook, stirring constantly until clear and thickened. Add beets. Stir, over medium heat, until heated through and coated with sauce. Remove from heat; stir in Equal. Makes 1-1/3 cups.
