Mr. Food's Boiled Okra Recipe - Cooking Index
8 cups | 1896ml | Water |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Fresh okra - rinsed/trimmed |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Salt |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter - (1/2 stick) |
In a large saucepan, combine water, okra and salt. Bring to a boil over High heat and cook 3-4 minutes or until okra is tender. Drain, then return okra to the saucepan. Add butter and cook over Low heat until butter melts and coats okra, stirring frequently. Serves 4-6. MC formatting by [email protected]
