Lettuce Butter Saute Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Lettuce - leaf, 1 head | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
1/2 tablespoon | 7.5ml | Garlic clove - crushed (small) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sour cream - or table cream |
1 | Nutmeg - freshly ground |
Separate the lettuce leaves. Wash and dry. Cut into bite sized pieces. (Lettuce will measure about 8 cups). Melt the butter in a wide saucepan, over medium heat. Add the garlic and stir for a minute.
Stir in lettuce just until evenly coated with butter. Add the sour cream and nutmeg and stir over medium heat until lettuce is warm but still crunchy.
