Green Tomato Curry Recipe - Cooking Index
30 | Butter or margarine | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Curry powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Onion - chopped (small) |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Chili powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cooking apple - peel and slice (large) |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
4 | Green tomatoes - cut in wedges | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Sugar |
Heat butter in a 30cm x 20cm baking dish, covered with paper towel, on 100% power for 45 sec. or until melted.
Add onion. Cook on HIGH 2-3 mins., until softened, stirring twice. Stir in apple, sugar, curry powder, chili powder and salt.
Stir in green tomatoes. Cook on HIGH for 5-7 mins., until tender, stirring occasionally.
Transfer to warm serving dish. Serve hot.
