Green Beans In Mustard Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index

Sauce | ||
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Mustard seed |
1 | Rosemary or rue | |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cummin |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Honey |
1/4 cup | 23g / 0.8oz | Pine nuts or almonds |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Wine vinegar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Beef stock |
Steam the green beans in a little water till tender, and partially drain
To prepare the mustard sauce, grind together mustard seed, rosemary and cumin. Add to honey, finely chopped nuts, vinegar, and stock. Heat the sauce, then pour it into the pan of cooked green beans. Stir and simmer for a few minutes. Serve with butter and a sprinkling of pepper.
