Gobhi Ki Sabja (Curried Cauliflower) Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Cauliflower - cut into florets |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cumin seed |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground coriander |
2/3 teaspoon | 3.3ml | Ground turmeric |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground red pepper |
Salt to taste | ||
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Garam masala |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Vegetable oil |
In a heavy saucepan, heat oil and fry cumin seeds over moderate heat until seeds start to burst. Add cauliflower and all the spices (except garam masala). Add salt and mix well. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes on medium heat. Add garam masala and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
