Cream Onions Recipe - Cooking Index
6 | Onions - sliced into rings (small) | |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | White sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | White vinegar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Sour cream |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Mayonnaise |
1 | Celery salt |
Soak first 4 ingredients overnight and drain. Mix together sour cream, mayonnaise and celery salt. Pour over onion mixture into a covered bowl. Refrigerate until needed, and serve cold.
This is great served as a side dish to beef or pork. It is also a very good addition to a sandwich.
