Green Chile Paste Recipe - Cooking Index
2 | Poblanos - roasted, seeded, and peeled | |
1/2 | Jalapeno chile - seeded if desired, and roughly chopped | |
2 | Garlic cloves - peeled | |
1/2 | Cilantro, leaves only | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Red onion - peeled and chopped (small) |
Juice of 2 limes | ||
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Water |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Olive oil |
Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and puree until a chunky paste is formed. Serve at room temperature.
This recipe yields 1/2 cup chile paste.
