Spicy Tomato Relish Recipe - Cooking Index
4 | Ripe tomatoes - chopped - (6 cups) (large) | |
2 | Celery stalks - diced (large) | |
1 | Green bell pepper - diced (large) | |
1 | Onion - diced (large) | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Cider vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Mustard seed |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
In 4-quart saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Uncover saucepan and simmer 45 minutes longer, stirring occasionally until mixture has thickened slightly. Spoon into clean jars. Cover and store in refrigerator up to 1 week.
This recipe yields 3 1/2 cups.
