Spiced-Up Butternut Squash

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 198g / 7ozButternut squash, about 2 pounds (large)
1/4 cup 49g / 1.7ozButter or margarine
1/2 cup 118mlWater
2 cups 474mlPears - cored, and (large)
  Cut into 1" chunks
2 tablespoons 30mlMinced fresh ginger
2 teaspoons 10mlTabasco brand Pepper Sauce
1 teaspoon 5mlSalt

Recipe Instructions

Remove skin and seeds from butternut squash; cut squash into 1-inch chunks. Melt butter in 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Add butternut squash chunks; cook 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add water, pears, ginger, Tabasco sauce and salt; over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 minutes or until squash is tender.

This recipe yields 6 servings.
