Sausages In Beer

Recipe Ingredients

1/2 lb 227g / 8ozKielbasa
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozItalian sweet sausage
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozItalian hot sausage
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozBockwurst (ground veal sausage)
5   Green onions - minced
1 cup 237mlBeer
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlTabasco brand Pepper Sauce
1 tablespoon 15mlFinely-chopped fresh parsley - (optional)
  (or 1 tspn dried parsley)

Recipe Instructions

With a sharp knife, cut sausages into 1/2-inch pieces. In a deep skillet, over medium-high heat, cook Italian sausage pieces 3 to 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Drain.

Add remaning sausage pieces and green onions and cook 5 additional minutes. Reduce heat to low, add beer, Tabasco sauce, and parsley, if desired. Simmer 8 to 10 minutes, stirring every 2 to 3 minutes.

Remove from heat and pour into chafing dish. Serve with toothpicks. Sausages may be frozen for future use.

This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
