2 teaspoons | 10ml | Tomatoes (medium) |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Olive oil |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Red wine vinegar |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce |
3 | Cilantro sprigs | |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Green leaf lettuce head (small) |
4 teaspoons | 20ml | Honeydew melon slices (large) |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Navel orange - peeled, sliced (large) |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cucumber - thinly sliced (medium) |
1 | Red bell pepper - cut thin strips | |
3 | Green onions |
In food processor or blender, combine tomatoes, olive oil, vinegar, Tabasco sauce, cilantro and salt. Process until mixture is smooth. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
On large platter, arrange lettuce leaves; top with melon slices, orange slices, cucumber slices, red pepper strips and green onions. Serve salad with dipping sauce.
