4 | Unsweetened chocolate | |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Butter or margarine |
2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Granulated sugar |
3 cups | 594g / 20oz | Eggs (large) |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | All-purpose flour |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Tabasco pepper sauce |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Semi-sweet chocolate chips |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Walnuts - chopped |
In small saucepan, over medium-low heat, melt chocolate squares and butter or margarine, stirring frequently.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9- by 9-inch baking pan.
In large bowl, combine sugar, eggs, flour, Tabasco pepper sauce and melted chocolate mixture until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped walnuts. Spoon mixture into pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack.
This recipe yields 16 brownies.
