4 oz | 113g | Unsweetened chocolate - cut up |

1 1/2 cups | 297g / 10oz | Granulated sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Vegetable oil |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Baking powder |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | All-purpose flour |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sifted powdered sugar - (to 3/4 cup) |

Stir unsweetened chocolate in small heavy saucepan over low heat or microwave until melted. Let cool. Combine eggs, sugar, melted chocolate, oil, baking powder and vanilla in large bowl. Gradually add flour, stirring until combined. Cover; chill 2 hours or until easy to handle.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the edges are set and tops cracked. While still hot, press a candy into the center of each. Let cool on a wire rack.
Yields about 6 dozen.
