Chestnut Chocolate Dessert

Recipe Ingredients

1   Whole chestnuts - (15 1/2 oz)
1/2 cup 55g / 1.9ozUnsweetened cocoa powder - preferably Droste's
1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozConfectioner's sugar
2 tablespoons 30mlDark rum - (to 3 tbspns)
1/4 cup 59mlUnwhipped heavy cream
3/4 cup 177mlHeavy cream - whipped

Recipe Instructions

Drain chestnuts and rinse under cold water; dry. Place them with cocoa powder, sugar, rum and 1/4 cup unwhipped heavy cream in processor. Puree, scrape down sides and process until chestnuts are pureed. Whip cream, fold into puree and chill until dinner time.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
