Chestnut Chocolate Dessert Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Whole chestnuts - (15 1/2 oz) | |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Unsweetened cocoa powder - preferably Droste's |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Confectioner's sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Dark rum - (to 3 tbspns) |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Unwhipped heavy cream |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Heavy cream - whipped |
Drain chestnuts and rinse under cold water; dry. Place them with cocoa powder, sugar, rum and 1/4 cup unwhipped heavy cream in processor. Puree, scrape down sides and process until chestnuts are pureed. Whip cream, fold into puree and chill until dinner time.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
