Tempting Tuna Bake Recipe - Cooking Index

1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Shredded Swiss cheese |
1 | Tuna - drained and flaked (7 oz.) | |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Chopped green onions |
1/4 cup | 27g / 1oz | Chopped celery |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine |
2 cups | 474ml | Milk |
2 | Eggs - slightly beaten | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
Alternate layers of bread and cheese in well buttered 9 inch square baking dish.
Begin with bread and end with cheese. Sprinkle tuna over all.
In small saucepan, cook onion and celery in butter until vegetables are tender.
Remove from heat. Blend with milk, eggs and salt.
Pour mixture over tuna in baking dish.
Bake at 350F until puffy and lightly browned.
