Stuffed Potatoes Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Potatoes - 1- 1 1/2 per person | |
1 | Amt. Margarine (small) | |
1 cup | 237ml | Milk |
Onion - per taste | ||
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Flour |
1 | Tuna or chipped beef - drained (if tuna) | |
Parmesan cheese | ||
Paprika | ||
Bacon bits - (optional) |
Bake 1 to 1 1/2 potatoes per person in 400F oven for 45 minutes to one hour. Cool.
While potatoes are cooling, chop onions and fry in margarine. After frying make sure there is 2 Tablespoons of margarine left in the pan. Add 2 Tablespoons flour and stir until smooth. Slowly add 1 cup milk, stirring until thickened. Add meat.
When potatoes are cool, halve potatoes, scoop out insides, and mash in bowl with a dab of butter and a small amount of milk. Put meat mixture in potato skins and gently pile mashed potatoes on top.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, a dash of paprika, and crumbled bacon if desired.
Bake in 350F oven until brown on top (approximately 30 minutes).
