Spicy Cajun Shrimp

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozJumbo shrimp - finely chopped (approx. 16)
1/4 cup 15g / 0.5ozFlour
1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozButter
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozOnion - chopped
1/2 cup 55g / 1.9ozGreen pepper - chopped 1/2 cup celery, chopped
1   Garlic - minced 1/4 tsp. Cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon 15mlLemon juice
1 cup 237mlWater

Recipe Instructions

Thaw shrimp and chop. Combine flour and butter in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until it turns golden, about 15 to 20 minutes.

Add the onion, green peppers, celery and garlic and saute for 20 minutes. Add the shrimp and remaining ingredients.

Bring to boil and then simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, or until shrimp are tender. Season.

Serve over a bed of rice.
