Simple Salmon Chowder Recipe - Cooking Index
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Butter |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Onion - diced (large) |
1 1/2 cups | 165g / 5.8oz | Celery - diced |
4 cups | 584g / 20oz | Potatoes - diced or... (medium) |
3 cups | 438g / 15oz | -potatoes - diced (large) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cornstarch - (rounded tablespoons |
12 | Evaporated milk | |
2 cups | 474ml | Cooked salmon* |
*(2 small cans or 1 large can)
Saute celery and onion in butter until brown. Add potatoes and enough water to cover.
Simmer 20 minutes or until potatoes are done. Stir cornstarch into about 1 cup water and add to mix.
Increase heat to thicken. Add milk and salmon and serve when hot.
