1 | Lemon gelatin - (3-oz) | |
1 cup | 237ml | Boiling water |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Crabmeat or shrimp or 1 cup of each |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Chopped celery |
1 1/2 tablespoons | 22ml | Chopped green bell pepper - , optional |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 1/2 tablespoons | 22ml | Prepared horseradish |
1 1/2 tablespoons | 22ml | Chopped scallions |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Cayenne pepper |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Mayonnaise or salad dressing |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Cream - , whipped |
Salad greens |
Dissolve lemon gelatin in boiling water.
When partially congealed add all ingredients except salad greens and blend. Pour into mold.
When firm, unmold on salad greens.
Serve with asparagus spears or green peas and heated rolls.
