Prawns In Ginger Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Rice wine or dry sherry |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Light soy sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Water |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cilantro - chopped fine |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Toasted sesame oil |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Raw prawns |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cornstarch |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Toasted sesame oil |
1 1/2 tablespoons | 22ml | Peanut oil |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Ginger - chopped |
Mix together the sauce ingredients and set aside. Peel the prawns and discard the shells.
Combine them with salt, cornstarch, and 1 tsp toasted sesame oil.
Heat a wok or large skillet, then add the peanut oil, prawns, and ginger.
Stir-fry the mixture for 30 seconds.
Then add the sauce ingredients and continue to cook for 2 minutes. Serve at once.
