14 | Fresh shrimp - heads on. (large) | |
6 tablespoons | 90ml | Cold unsalted butter - cut in |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Black pepper - ground |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Black pepper - cracked |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Creole seasoning* |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Garlic |
One lemon - juice of | ||

8 oz | 227g | Salt |
2 oz | 56g | Garlic powder |
2 oz | 56g | Black pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cayenne pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Thyme |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Oregano |
2 oz | 56g | Paprika |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Granulated onion |
Mix the Creole spice ingredients together and store in sealed container.
Place the shrimp and all the ingredients except lemon juice and 3 oz. of butter in a large saute pan so that the shrimp are in one layer.
Place shrimp in 450F oven for two minutes. Remove and begin to saute over moderate heat.
Add lemon juice and remaining butter by swirling pan and stirring with a fork.
Serve in bowl with sauce and lots of bread for dipping. (And lots of napkins!!)
