Oriental Mushroom Appetizer Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Small to medium white mushrooms |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Water |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | White vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Soy sauce |
4 | Garlic cloves - peeled, chopped | |
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
Splash of sesame oil | ||
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Chopped parsley |
Put mushrooms, water, vinegar, soy sauce and garlic into a saucepan with a tight-fitting lid; cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 15 minutes. Uncover and simmer until the liquid is reduced by half. Add pepper and a splash of sesame oil. Toss with parsley. Serve with toothpicks.
