2 teaspoons | 10ml | Sesame oil |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Halibut or lean fish - steaks, cut into 1 1/4" x 3/8" strips |
1 | Onion - thinly sliced (medium) | |
3 | Garlic - minced | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Gingerroot - finely chopped |
1 | Frozen - asparagus cuts, thawed (10 ounces) | |
1 | Mushrooms, sliced, drained | |
1 | Tomato - cut into thin (medium) | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Soy sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
Cod, pollack and albacore tuna are examples of other lean fish that would be delicious substitutes for the halibut.
Heat oil in 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
Add fish, onion, garlic, gingerroot and asparagus. Stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes or until fish almost flakes with fork. Carefully stir in remaining ingredients; heat through.
Serve with additional soy sauce if desired.
