Fried Perch Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Fresh or frozen perch or cod |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Onion - chopped (medium) |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Lemon juice |
Flour | ||
Salt and pepper | ||
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Paprika |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Basil leaves |
Oil for frying |
Chop onion and combine with lemon juice. Let set. Combine flour, salt and pepper and paprika and coat fish.
Heat oil and brown fish on one side. Turn fish and pour in lemon juice and onions.
Sprinkle on basil leaves. Cover and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until fish is tender and onions are soft.
