French Toasted Tuna Sandwiches

Recipe Ingredients

9 1/4 oz 262gCanned tuna
1/4 cup 27g / 1ozCelery - finely chopped
1/4 cup 15g / 0.5ozOnion - finely chopped
1/4 cup 59mlSweet pickle relish
1/4 cup 59mlSalad dressing - (mayonnaise)
12   Bread - dry
2   Eggs - beaten
1/3 cup 78mlMilk
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlVanilla
2 tablespoons 30mlOil or fat - (approximately)

Recipe Instructions

Drain and flake tuna. Mix with celery, onion, relish, and salad dressing. Spread tuna mixture on 6 slices of bread; top with remaining slices. Mix eggs, milk, and vanilla.

Dip sandwiches into egg mixture to coat each side. Brown in fat on a hot griddle or in a frying pan, about 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
