Granola Recipe - Cooking Index
5 cups | 312g / 11oz | Rolled oats |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Wheat germ |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Water |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Brown sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vegetable oil |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vanilla |
1/2 cup | 20g / 0.7oz | Grape Nuts™ cereal |
1 cup | 237ml | All Bran |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Chopped pecans |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Raisins |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Dried apricots |
Mix oats and wheat germ together. In a separate bowl, mix together water, brown sugar, oil, and vanilla. Add it to the oat and wheat germ mixture, stirring thoroughly. Spread onto a cookie sheet(s) and bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. (Stir after every 10 minutes.)
Add Grape Nuts™, All Bran™, and pecans. Bake another 20 minutes. (Stir after every 10 minutes.) Remove from oven. When cool, add raisins and dried fruit. Pack into an air-tight container. (May be frozen.)
This recipe yields twenty 1/2-cup servings.
