Crab With Snow Peas Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Vegetable oil |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Fresh crab meat - diced |
2 | Garlic - crushed | |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Fresh snow peas |
1 | Water chestnuts - (or (8 oz) | |
1 cup | 237ml | Jicama - cut in 1/2" cubes) |
1/4 cup | 59ml | White wine |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Soy sauce |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Arrowroot |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Water |
4 cups | 640g / 22oz | Rice - freshly cooked |
Heat oil. Add crab and simmer, stirring, 2 minutes.
Add garlic, snow peas and water chestnuts; simmer 5 minutes.
Stir together wine, soy sauce, arrowroot and water until arrowroot is dissolved.
Pour into cooking crab mixture and simmer another 2 minutes. Serve immediately over hot rice.
