Crab Filo Appetizers Recipe - Cooking Index
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Butter |
2 | Garlic - minced | |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Flour |
1 cup | 237ml | Whipping cream |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Fresh crab meat |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped chives |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped parsley |
Salt and pepper to taste | ||

1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Unsalted butter |
In 3 Tbs butter, saute garlic, and then stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute. Add the cream and stir until thick. Stir in crab, chives, salt and pepper.
Fold the filo sheets so they are 6" x 6" brushing each layer with melted butter. Put a big plop of the crab mixture in the center of each square, and fold into triangles.
Seal and brush top with melted butter.
Bake at 400F for 15 to 20 minutes, until they look perfectly browned.
