Clam Chowder - 1 Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Chopped onion |
1 cup | 110g / 3.9oz | Chopped celery |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Chopped potatoes |
2 | Minced clams | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Apple cider vinegar |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Butter/margarine |
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Flour |
1 | Half and half | |
Salt and pepper |
Pour clam juice and vinegar over vegetables, add water just to cover. Simmer 30 minutes.
Melt butter, blend in flour, cook 1 minute, then add half and half. Cook until smooth and thick.
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste/ Last add vegetables and clams, cook in crock pot at least 1 hour until flavor is through.
