Chili Shrimp - 1

Recipe Ingredients

2 tablespoons 30mlVegetable oil
2 tablespoons 30mlChopped garlic
2 tablespoons 30mlGrated ginger
2 lbs 908g / 32ozPeeled large shrimp
4   Scallions - trimmed and sliced
2 tablespoons 30mlSherry
2 tablespoons 30mlChicken stock
1 teaspoon 5mlChili garlic paste - (or more to taste)
1 tablespoon 15mlCorn starch stirred into 1 tablespoon ice water
  Rice

Recipe Instructions

1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Sautee the garlic and ginger. Add scallions and soften.

2. Add the shrimp and toss until pink (about 4 minutes). Remove from pan.

3. Add rest of ingredients to pan and mix with browned garlic, etc., to make a sauce. Cook, stirring, for one minute.

4. Mix in cornstarch mixture. Cook, stirring, one minute.

5. Add shrimp back in and heat through (about one minute).

PRESENTATION SUGGESTIONS: Serve Shrimp and sauce over White Rice.

SERVES: 4 to 6
