Curried Tuna-Apple Sandwiches Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 118ml | Fat-free mayonnaise |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Curry powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Garlic powder |
1 | Cayenne (red) pepper | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Lemon juice |
1 | Water-packed tuna | |
3/4 cup | 109g / 3.8oz | Chopped apple |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Finely-chopped celery |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Raisins |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Thinly-sliced green onion |
4 | Toasted whole-grain bread |
Stir together the fat-free mayonnaise, seasonings and lemon juice. Drain and flake the tuna. Add tuna, chopped apple, chopped celery, raisins and sliced green onions to the mayonnaise mixture. Stir until well blended. Spread equal portions on the toast. Serve open-faced.
