Crispy Oriental Green Salad Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Margarine |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sesame seeds |
2 | Ramen noodles - (3 oz ea) - no seasoning | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Sliced water chestnuts |
1 | Bok choy | |
4 | Scallions - sliced | |
Dressing | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Red wine vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Soy sauce |
In a large skillet, melt margarine. Add seeds, sugar and broken-up noodles. Cook until lightly browned, about five minutes. Cool to room temperature.
Chop bok choy coarsely. Combine with water chestnuts and scallions. Add noodle mixture, toss with dressing and serve.
For the Dressing: Combine all ingredients; shake well to mix
This recipe yields 6 servings.
