Broken Fish Trap Soup

Recipe Ingredients

2 cups 474mlFish stock
2   Lime leaves
1   Lemon grass piece
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlGinger
3 tablespoons 45mlNouc nam*
1   Lemon
1/4 lb 113g / 4ozShrimp
1/4 lb 113g / 4ozOysters
1/4 lb 113g / 4ozCrab meat
1/4 lb 113g / 4ozFish pieces
1/4 lb 113g / 4ozScallops
3/4 cup 177mlCoconut milk
3   Red chili peppers - crushed

Recipe Instructions

* Vietnamese fish sauce

Chop lime leaves. Juice lemon.

Heat stock and add lime leaves, lemon grass, ginger, nouc nam and lemon juice. Bring to a low boil, stirring well.

Add seafood and coconut milk. Simmer at just below boiling until seafood is cooked, stirring constantly.

Add chiles at the last moment. Serve with lime wedges and steamed rice.
