Biloxi-Style Appetizer Shrimp Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Shrimp and crab boil | |
2 | Beer - 12 oz ea | |
24 oz | 681g | Water |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Tabasco |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Garlic powder |
Pepper to taste | ||
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Fresh lemon or lime juice |
5 lbs | 2270g / 80oz | Med shrimps; peel - devein |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Unsalted butter - melt |
Bring spice bag to boil in beer/water in large saucepan.
Add remaining ingredients except for shrimp and butter.
Simmer for 10 minutes to blend flavors.
Arrange shrimp in an oven-proof casserole. Pour liquid over them.
Pour melted butter over all.
Bake at 350F for 15 minutes, stirring twice.
