For a different flavor use chicken broth instead of beef and add tarragon for topping chicken. 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cornstarch |
1 cup | 237ml | Low sodium beef broth |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt and pepper - (combined) |
2 | Green onions - chopped |
Add all ingredients except cornstarch and broth to a microwaveable bowl. In a small bowl mix cornstarch and broth until well combined. Pour over vegetable mixture. Cover and microwave on high for 3 minutes. Stir. Microwave another 3 minutes or until mushrooms are tender and sauce is transparent. Use as a topping for meat, chicken or even potatoes.
This recipe yields two 1/2-cup servings.
