Carrot And Apple Casserole Recipe - Cooking Index
5 teaspoons | 25ml | Carrots - peeled, sliced (large) |
5 cups | 1185ml | Sliced peeled apples |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cornstarch |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Nutmeg |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Margarine |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Orange juice |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Boil carrots until tender. Drain. Arrange carrots and apples in layers in a 7-inch by 11-inch casserole dish. Combine the brown sugar, cornstarch and nutmeg. Sprinkle it over the carrots and apples. Dot with margarine. Pour the orange juice over the casserole mixture. Bake uncovered for about 1 hour.
