Barbecued Chicken Wings Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 118ml | Hoisin sauce |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Soy sauce |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Rice wine or Scotch |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Ketchup |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Minced garlic |
3 lbs | 1362g / 48oz | Chicken wings - (abt 16) - wing tips cut off |

In a bowl whisk together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, ketchup and garlic, add the wings, and toss the mixture to coat the wings with the sauce. Chill the wings, covered, stirring them occasionally, overnight. Arrange the wings, skin-side down, on a baking sheet large enough to hold them in one layer and bake them in the lower third of a preheated 375 degree oven for 25 minutes. Turn the wings and bake them for 20 minutes more. Serve the wings on a platter, hot or at room temperature.
This recipe yields about 32 pieces.
