Pure White Royal Buttercream Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Meringue powder |
| 2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Confectioners' sugar |
| 1 1/2 cups | 297g / 10oz | Vegetable shortening |
| 6 tablespoons | 90ml | Water |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Clear flavoring - (a tinted flavoring |
| Will change color of the icing) |
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix at slow speed until smooth. Add a few drops of water, if needed.
This recipe yields enough to fill and cover a two-layer 9-inch cake.
